User Group

The DockLaser consortium invites industrial companies to join the project USER GROUP. Members are entitled to receive the following benefits:

  • Invitation to User Group Workshops with practical demonstration of the results (twice yearly)
  • Exclusive User Group Reports presenting the main project results (twice yearly)
  • a yearly Free Consulting Day with one of the project partners to support the application of results in the User Group Member company
  • User Group Members will be consulted about the work programme, thus giving them the opportunity to have own applications considered in the frame of the contract with the EC and the available budget
The User Group is a mechanism for know-how and technology transfer as well as a means to improve the quality of the work of the consortium by permanent discussion with external companies. User Groups have been successfully installed for a number of previous European and national research projects, such as Sandwich and Ecopaint.

Industrial companies can apply for a membership in the DockLaser User Group. The DockLaser consortium charges an annual fee of 10.000 EURO (25.000 EURO outside European Union, candidate states and associated states for R&D are considered inside EU). This income will be used to cover administrative expenses and to carry out additional research and development activities found necessary in the course of the project.

Applications are valid for the entire project duration of 36 months starting 1st September 2002. Later entries have to burden the fee for the entire period. Companies can retract from the USER GROUP whenever they wish, payment of the User Group Fee is then limited the project years before and including the date of retraction (project year: September to September). Applications are subject of approval by the DockLaser project assembly.

For applications please use the DockLaser Application Form. After the approval of your application though the DockLaser Project Assembly you will receive a DockLaser User Group Contract for signature.
